The Agriculture Museum is living proof
of the "Green Capital", in fact it is the only world Capital that has a
working farm at its heart. Canada's unique agriculture heritage is features
at the Agriculture Museum where you can explore the sights and sounds of
traditional farm life.
Open
Exhibitions: Daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 1 to
October 31. Closed November 1 to February 28.

Visit the animal barns and
special exhibits at the largest urban working farm and research station
in Canada. Discover the many breeds of dairy cattle and see a modern dairy
barn in operation. In the barnyard you can meet sheep and lambs, pigs and
piglets, beef cattle and chickens and many more. Wander through the Dominion
Arboretum and the ornamental gardens right next door.
Tractors
Tractors is an exciting look at the "farmer's office in the
field". This exhibition shows how the tractor has evolved from an unfamiliar
oddity on Canadian farms to a commonplace tool in less than 100 years.
One Hundred Years of Science in Agriculture
Science has played an important role in the development of
agriculture in Canada. This new exhibit, featuring artifacts from the Museum's
collection, looks at how science has changed and influenced Canadian farming
over the last century

Visit Tractors and follow the 100-year-old story of the tractor from unfamiliar
oddity to commonplace tool on the Canadian farm.
The Farm: Plugged-In New!
Discover the impact electricity had on farmers’ routine household chores, from
the turn of the last century to today, in this exhibition tracing the period of
rural electrification in Canada. You can even see the Beck Circus, a travelling
exhibit from the early 1900s that showed the wonders electricity brought to
farms.
Animal Barns
Get up close and personal with the animals at the Canada Agriculture Museum. In
our barns and barnyards see different breeds of dairy and beef cattle, pigs,
sheep, horses, goats, rabbits and chickens. Don't forget to look for our
heritage breeds!
Picnic at the Museum
The Canada Agriculture Museum is ideal for picnics! In the shade of the apples
blossoms, under a tent or in the sun, visitors can enjoy the sights and sounds
of the outdoors as they snack or have lunch. The Museum has vending machines for
cold beverages and light snacks but does not offer food services.

in May to preserving the harvest in October.
