There are train and bus stations minutes from the centre of the city that
connect Ottawa to other cities in Canada and the United States. The road
access into the city is excellent with routes that will provide either
express or scenic routes, as time and interest dictate. From the Train
Station you can take the 95 bus on OC Transpo to get downtown or a cab
that will cost roughly $15.

OC Transpo, the public transportation system, operates a large,
modern fleet of standard and articulated buses, providing mass
transit service in the Ottawa region. The buses use a combination
of dedicated bus-only roads ("Transitway") and regular roads to
deliver a transit service that has the highest per-capita ridership
for a region of its size in North America.

VIA Rail, Canadian Pacific and Canadian National railways all
operate out of the region. One third of the American and Half
of the Canadian population are within overnight travelling distance
of Ottawa by either road or rail, and are less than two hours
away by air. The train station is located near the Riverside
Drive exit from Highway 417, just east of downtown. Bus route:
95. It is about a $15 cab ride to downtown Ottawa.
Passenger rail service to and from Ottawa is delivered
by VIA Rail, while Canadian National (CN) and Canadian Pacific
(CP) railways handle cargo and freight. A large and modern train
station with free parking is conveniently located close to downtown
Ottawa. As a major node on the country's most heavily used
passenger and freight corridor (Quebec City-Windsor), Ottawa enjoys
rail access to other Canadian cities and, indeed, the entire continent
by way of connecting lines in the United States. Business travellers
to major destinations such as Montreal and Toronto enjoy VIA's
LRC (light, rapid, comfortable) service. The passenger rail company
is also exploring the possibility of introducing HSR (high-speed
rail) trains within the next few years.
