JERRY DOUGLAS to appear at VINEYARDS WINE BAR BISTRO
Jerry Douglas, international film and television icon performs at Vineyards Wine Bar and Bistro in Ottawa for two very special evenings on October 20 and 21, 2009. Jerry is best known for his character on the #1 rated daytime drama Young and the Restless, patriarch John Abbott, for the past 27 years.
Over the span of his career, Douglas has guest starred in numerous television series and feature films including the HBO series Arrested Development and had supporting roles in Avalanche, Looker, Mommie Dearest and Oliver Stone’s JFK among countless others. Other television credits include classics such as The Rockford Files, Quincy, Police Story, Dragnet, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Mission Impossible, Streets of San Francisco and many more.
Douglas’s first love, however, is singing. He is considered by many of his fans and others as the last of the great crooners. Douglas has toured the United States and Canada for over 20 years by performing standards in casinos and concert halls to sold out audiences in the US and Canada and recently released his latest CD of popular melodies and jazz standards, "The Best is Yet To Come."
Vineyards is proud to host an intimate evening with Jerry this fall. This very special performance will feature two music sets and a private meet and greet, allowing fans the opportunity to meet Jerry up close and personal. It is sure to be a very unique evening.
The award winning Vineyards Wine Bar Bistro, located in the renowned historic Byward Market in Canada's capital Ottawa, has been hosting local wine and beer lovers, as well as visitors from around the globe since 1979. Known for an outstanding collection of wines, imported beers and malt whiskeys - they are proud recipients of the WINE SPECTATOR AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE for the past 20 years. Tucked below the Fish Market Restaurant, this warm candlelit cellar features magnificent bistro fare including pasta, steak and fish. Vineyards features live local jazz every Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday for no cover.
Jerry is managed worldwide by Eventure Entertainment, a small boutique entertainment company in the Ottawa area. Eventure Entertainment's specialties include talent management, live event production, corporate team building workshops, sports marketing, acting & improv classes. Eventure provides speakers, celebrities, athletes, musicians and comedians for special events. Eventure Entertainment is headed by Second City Alumnus Rick Wharton, actor, comedian and producer (best known for is role as "The Conspiracy Guy" on SPACE: The Imagination Station) who has worked in the comedy, television and music business for twenty years.
Tickets are $20 and available on a first come, first serve basis. Seating is very limited with only eighty tickets available per evening. Advance purchase ONLY. All Major credit cards accepted. It is anticipated that tickets will sell out quickly. Please note that this is a listening room, and every seat may not have a clear view of the stage area. There will however be ample opportunity to mingle. As well Jerry will be moving throughout the crowd and the evening will be very casual.

While in Canada , Jerry will also be performing in Hamilton, Toronto and the Upper Ottawa Valley in October and will be embarking on a North American tour in early 2010.
