Greensmere Golf & Country Club is a 36 hole semi-private championship golf course facility that offers a variety of scenic landscape and challenges. Located 10 minutes west of Kanata on almost 400 acres of land, this Ottawa golf course is a "must play". The tees, fairways and greens are bent grass, with according to many, the best greens in Ottawa and the valley.  In 2010 there will be more variety to choose from as Greensmere is opening all 36 holes in the Spring, giving you two Championship 18-hole courses to play.

The original 18 consists of a links style front 9 with wide open fairways and gentle contours and the more difficult back 9 which brings natural obstacles into play ad sees elevation changes of up to 60 feet.  Try playing over or around the infamous birch tree that's growing through the 1934 Ford tractor on it's tear drop stage in the middle of the 17th fairway.  The new 18 pushes the most skilled golfers to the limit with narrow tree lined fairways, protected greens, large ponds and elevated tee boxes and greens.  Before or after your round, relax in the comfort of the air conditioned lounge and enjoy a beverage, snack or meal.  Golf tournaments are welcome for groups of 24 to 288 players.
