Eventing
Eventing, or combined training is a sport that continues to grow in popularity the Ottawa area. It challenges the full range of the horse's ability and the skills of the rider. Three disciplines are included in eventing-a dressage test, a jumping course and cross-country course with natural type obstacles. Horse trials are a form of eventing which take place over one or two days. Several stables in the Ottawa area focus on eventing instruction and many have cross-country courses on their property.
