One of the best children's entertainers to come on the music scene is Imagination Movers, a 4-piece band made up musicians who are also parents. Movers' songs are inspired by their kids at home, and have led to a hit music-and-comedy series for Playhouse Disney, over 200,000 CDs and DVDs sold to date as well as critical acclaim from Entertainment Weekly and the New York Times. Their Rock-O-Matic Tour gives the Imagination Movers the continued opportunity to provide music which is "prized by many parents for non-condescending lyrics and music that evokes the Beastie Boys or Red Hot Chili Peppers."The band has already won a Daytime Emmy Award from The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for outstanding original song in the children's show/animation category.
