As part of the Canadian Federation of Students' (CFS) 'Drop Fees for a Poverty-Free Ontario' Campaign, the Graduate Students' Association (GSA) at Carleton University will be hosting a keynote address by renowned novelist and essayist, John Ralston Saul. The title of his presentation will be "Post-Secondary Education as a Public Good". The event will be taking place on Wednesday September 30th, 2009 from 6:00-7:00pm followed by a book signing from 7:30-8:00pm. The location of the event is Kailash Mital Theatre, Southam Hall, Carleton University. Tickets will be on sale for $2 at the GSA Office, 6th floor Unicentre. All proceeds go to the Marion Dewar Scholarship which supplements tuition and supplies required by post-secondary education for refugee and immigrant high school students.


Babes For Breasts Concert

BABES FOR BREASTS (BFB) is a collective of female singer/songwriters taking on the human side of breast cancer one song at a time. Volunteering their voices and skills to raise awareness and funds, proceeds are donated to local and regional charities in each city, who are helping women and men who are living with breast cancer from diagnosis to remission and beyond. The Ottawa show will benefit the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
