Remembrance
Day - National Ceremony
November 11, 2007
National War Memorial
A nationally televised Remembrance Day ceremony is held at the
Memorial each November 11. Parade will march off at 1030 hours
moving East on Queen Street in rear of the pipe band and colour
party to a position on the roadway in front of and facing the
Memorial. Parade to be in position at the Memorial by 1040 hours.
Ceremony takes place for about 1 hr. Please arrive early
for best viewpoints.

Santa Toy Parade

The " Help Santa Toy Parade" is Ottawa's second largest outdoor
event. Every year, the Fire Fighters' Association has been organizing
the event and collecting toys and cash donations along the parade
route for distribution to the less fortunate children in the Ottawa
area.
The parade has evolved into a significant event drawing tens
of thousands of people who line the Parade route and show their
generosity. Spectators are entertained to the sights and sounds
of floats, bands and clowns produced locally and from around the
