Ontario's Highlands is a collection of Canadian regional parks and recreational centres managed by the Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization. The Ontario's Highlands Tourism Organization is government funded agency that aims to promote travel and tourism to the province of Ontario. Founded in 2010 as non-for profit organization, the Ontario Tourism Organization is in charge of operating and promoting the Ontario’s Highlands region which covers a vast territory in Ontario comprising 6 counties and Algonquin land. Ontario's Highlands receives tens of thousands visitors every year for its wildlife, all year-round activities, festival and events. It is located a few hours’ drive from Toronto and about one hour from Ottawa. Ontario's Highlands offers a wide variety of activities for its visitors all year round including snowmobiling, fishing, skiing, golfing and cycling. For the winter season, Ontario's Highlands offers beautiful sceneries suitable for a very wide range of winter-related activities.
It also offers a wide variety of educational and cultural activities such as recreational geology museums and heritage activities including guided tours of historic sites.
