Join us for an afternoon of classical music as the award-winning Ottawa Junior Youth Orchestra under the direction of Angus Armstrong performs a selection of works by Edvard Grieg, Ernesto Lecuona, Camille Saint-Saens and Rheinhold Gliere. The Ottawa Junior Youth Orchestra is a 70-member orchestra of talented young musicians aged 11 to 16. It is one of two orchestras in the Ottawa Youth Orchestra Academy, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Under Mr. Armstrong's direction since 1995, the Ottawa Junior Youth Orchestra has won the gold medal in the provincial finals of the Kiwanis Festival (Ontario Music Festival Association) for the past two years.
