Calling All Paddlers!

Celebrate the heritage of the canoe from its early days as a mode of transportation and trade to modern-day recreational enjoyment. Bring your canoe and join in the fun!

The Rideau Canal Festival invites all paddlers to join in the Canoe Rendezvous at Dows Lake on Monday August 3, 2009. The Canoe Rendezvous is a tribute to Canada’s first mode of transportation – the Canoe! We want to see how many canoes we can get in Dows Lake, and we will be photographing it for history! Come and be part of the picture!
