Ottawa Therapeutic Riding
|
| |
Therapeutic riding has been available in the Ottawa area since the 1970s
and continues to grow in popularity. There are many stables in the Ottawa
area that offer therapeutic riding programs to a variety of age groups
with a wide range of physical, mental and emotional disabilities. The
benefits gained from therapeutic riding are enormous. Riding demands physical,
mental and social involvement on the part of the rider, strengthens muscles
and improves muscle tone, improves balance and coordination and promotes
physical fitness and a sense of self-confidence. Check out the several
local Ottawa stables that offer therapeutic riding instruction. Visit
their websites to find the one that is right for you.
