Ottawa offers a
wide variety of accommodations
to meet all tastes and budgets. These range from well-appointed
large or small hotels, to suite hotels convenient for families,
to quaint inns and bed and breakfasts.
There are currently more than 8,000 hotel rooms in the downtown
core, and 1999 marks an influx of newly built or renovated hotels,
among them a luxury resort at the Casino de Hull.
Most of the major hotels and bed and breakfasts are within walking
distance of the capital's museums,
attractions, shopping
and events. A variety of accommodation
packages are available offering different services and activities,
in addition to room discounts. Some of these packages focus
on culture and heritage, while others focus on outdoor and soft
adventure activities, or family
fun.
