- Each Remembrance Day, November 11 at 11am, the sun directly illuminates the headstone of the Unknown Soldier in the Memorial Hall.
Empressive and Enlightening
The Canadian War Museum is Canada’s national museum of military history, covering the country’s military past from earliest times to the present day. Through its extraordinary permanent and special exhibitions, the Museum profiles the human side of war, and shows how military events have shaped the development of the country, both at home and on the world stage.
The Canadian War Museum offers interesting and educational exhibitions:
The Canadian Experience Galleries
Four chronological galleries present Canada’s military history from earliest times to recent conflicts. Artifacts of all sizes, first-hand accounts, life-size environments and multimedia presentations make each visit an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
The LeBreton Gallery
